Calapan Branch Conducts Gift Giving and Feeding Program for Elementary Students

Agribusiness Rural Bank, Inc. (AGRIBANK) does not only offer loans and other products and services. One of its missions is to help the community through Corporate Social Responsibility activities. In line with this, AGRIBANK Calapan Branch held its Gift Giving and Feeding Program at San Vicente Elementary School in Roxas, Oriental Mindoro last July 18, 2014. 384 students were the beneficiaries in this initiative to help the society. 
Upon entering the classroom, AGRIBANK Calapan Branch employees headed by their Branch Manager, Mr. Alberto M. Gumangan, were cheerfully greeted by the students, together with their parents and teachers, with posters saying “Thank You Agribank for Visiting Us.”
Before the program proper began, a prayer followed by singing of the National Anthem and Roxas Hymn were presented. The program started with a welcome message from the School Principal, Mr. Jesse M. Rada, Jr. followed by Dr. Melanie Rañeses, the School District Supervisor of Roxas who gladly shared her message for the school personnel, students, parents and visitors. Talented students of San Vicente Elementary School presented a dance number to entertain the guests. After the intermission number, Mr. Gumangan, made a speech and conveyed an inspirational message from AGRIBANK’sChief Operating Officer, Ms. Lea M.Yamballa.
Mr. Rodel Sescar, General PTA President and Mr. Rone lSescar, Barangay Captain of San Vicente expressed their sincerest gratitude and appreciation to AGRIBANK for choosing their school in its endeavor to contribute to the well-being of its society. Dr. Rañeses proudly presented a Certificate of Appreciation to AGRIBANK Calapan Branch.
The AGRIBANK employees were very happy with the experience and how it impacted their only lives. The program ended with smiles from the attendees, proving that acts of kindness is never too difficult to do.
